Truggy/Buggy advice

Looking to get a truggy and or maybe a buggie to run a brushless setup in. I've been trying to learn more about them. There are alot more out there then I thought. I did a quick search on e-bay and wondered what you opinion and advice concerning these I found.

I don't know enough to know what a good price is vs a bad price. If they are sugar coating it or not. I read in one of the threads here you needed to watch out for a buggy that was converted to a truggy. That it would be a disappointment and a rip off to boot. So I appreciate you guys going to the car lot with me sort of speaking.

why not look into the sportwerks turmoil pro ARR at Amain? Its 179.99 brand new for the roller. The price is so low, its hard to justify getting a used roller.... unless you have a specific roller in mind.

Yep, the Turmoil Pro is a steal, and one tough buggy. Should be a RC-Monster motor mount for it soon too.

The hyper 7 you link is not a true truggy, it's a buggy and the guys have put wheel extension and truggy wheel.
Don't touch this, it's alot of trouble. The geometrie of the suspension on a buggy don't allow you to run truggy tire and wheel, because the shock will bottom out before the frame touch the ground,= lot of shock and tower snaping. I know i've did exactly the dsame thing with an Ofna ultra MBX.
If you want a truggy, get a true truggy:yes:
And for the Turmoil, i don't know anything about this buggy, but as others guys say, for the price, it's hard to beat, and normally, Horizon give an exellent support.

Thanks guys. I was wondering about that hyper 7. I think it was a post of your I read earlier in one of these threads that warned about buggy/truggy conversions. I didn't find anything at their web site for a hyper 7 truggy. The only one of those four that is a truggy is the Mutilator. RIght? I looked into the Turmoil. Thanks for the tip on that it does seem like a read good buy. That's probably the way I'll go unless I come across a better deal.

Is there a big difference between a awd buggy and a 4wd truggy?
got part of it the supension is different as david already pointed out to me. So a truggy will have more ground clearance and suspension travel. Do they both have the flat chassis?
