could this esc run the 8L, while using 6 gp3300? i don't know how amp could affect the motor

what happened? did the motor just not turn?

It is not the motor you need to worry about. The motor is going to try to draw as many amps as it needs. The esc will be over loaded. This will cause more heat and stress until the smoke rolls.

That controller probably wouldn't even work well in a car application, and that is besides the point that it won't handle the 8s without being completely damaged.

i run a schulze 12.97fe controller w/ my Hacker b50 8L and it works great in my TXT-1. just a note; i run a fan over all my controllers - brushed or brushless.
