a few brushless savage questions - 03.22.2008, 04:55 AM

hey guys i was thinking about building up a brushless savage. and i was wondering if i would be able to use the 3 speed tranny in it and would it shift through all 3 gears.

i remember my revo when i was done it was still no locked into second and when i went to try it it drove like crap and never shifted. but when i locked it was it was amazing lol.

so would the savage do the same as the revo and i should just lock it into second and forget about the 3 speed.

thanks

also the reason i would want the 3 speed is cause i would be building the savage from scratch and just getting the 3 speed complete tranny would be a lot easyer for me. cause i know hobbypeople would not have all the gears i would need.

Mustve been your shift point set wrong or a problem with your shifting mechanism, my revo shifts exactly the same as when it was nitro. And my bro runs a brushless 3 speed savage that shifts thru all the gears like normal.

I don't run the 3 speed, but I do run the 2 speed in my savage. It actually wants to wheelie as it shifts in mine. At least it did when I was running a stock length chassis. I haven't gotten to run it since getting the FLM chassis. Its longer now so it might not wheelie quite as freely.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

Yeah can defintely see it/hear it shift. It wants to jump up if your not careful with the throttle. I made a vid of the tyres panning a while ago where you can hear it shift pretty well.
