RC-Monster Slipperential for Slash 4x4

Mike - is there room with custom outdrives?

Nick 04.19.2010 04:37 PM

I can find out this week, I have my RC8 in bits so can try Slipper in my 4x4 once I have them together.

You'd probs have to cut the driveshaft I imagine?

EDIT: Just had a look, don't have Slipper at hand but know roughly how big it is. There is a lip on the top end of Slash chassis which the Slipperential will probably hit. :( There isn't much room length ways.

Apparenetly the monster already has a plan ;)

More to come...

Hopefully it's adaptable to the 1/8th Slippers?? As I'm thinking of selling my RC8Te soon.

+1...

It would be awesome to see this happen. I think there was mention of Slipperential development for Hyper 10SC and CRT .5 as well.

Arct1k 05.23.2010 08:49 PM

I think Mike and Jamie are somewhat knackered at the moment so expect stuff to be slow...

I know they were working on at least:

- SCRT10 Chassis
- Slash 4x4 Chassis
- Savage Flux Baja Conversion
- Baja Conversion

And I'd like all of them :)

I'd really like to know more about the "Savage Flux Baja Conversion" myself.

Any for scrt10?

phatmonk 06.27.2010 09:34 AM

pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese plus 1 for the 10SC

Arct1k 06.27.2010 09:52 AM

The issue with the scrt10 is the small bones means custom outdrives and the increased diff length means new custom bones...

JoFreak 06.27.2010 10:54 AM

Wow, I would really like to see the SCRT10 chassis.
But personally I think aluminium diff cups or plastik cups with a metal insert for the outdrive cup. Because there seem to be quite a lot SCRT10 drivers who have a problem with wobling outdrives. And I guess a lot more who aren't noticing.

@Arct1k: Wouldn't it be simpler to just make new outdrives for the front/rear diff pinions?
So Mike could use 1/8th standard sized cups on the slipperential?
And we could get beefier dogbones in the center.
I don't like how fragile the stock bones look, but only time will tell if they hold up.

the slash 4x4 chassis was supposedly at the Ihobby show and i havent seen a single picture of it any where..... but atleast i did get a conformation that there was an aluminum chassis 4x4 slash at their both that no one bothered to take photos of..... still mad about that.
