I'll go through the hassle for you. This is all Rusty XL-5's post on the odd forum...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OK, I finally got my rustler all together after 3 months of "refurbishing" and further modding.

After receiving 3-4 orders that looked like this:

I had a mod list that included:

Traxxas Rustler Modification List:

• Transmission:

Gearing is 17/83
Steel top drive gear
Steel Idler gear
Steel differential w/ ball bearing mod
RPM gear cover
Traxxas wheelie bar mount (use as a motor guard when not using wheelie bar)
Traxxas wheelie bar

• Suspension:

STRC aluminum shocks
RPM two stage shock pistons
Traxxas titanium coated shock shafts
Traxxas 50wt. shock oil
Integy soft shock springs (green)
RCM-RC carbon fiber front shock tower
RPM rear shock tower

• Electronics:

Castle Creations Mamba Max ESC
Hobby Wing BEC (6v)
Medusa 50mm 4800 KV brushless motor
Spektrum TX/RX
Esky micro servo for remote start
Hobby City digital steering servo (180 oz torque @ .15 seconds)
Flightmax 30c 5000 mah 11.1 volt lipos (150 amp continuous 200 amps burst)

• Drivetrain:

VXL drive yokes
Jato driveshafts
VXL stub axles

• Linkages:

Associated titanium turnbuckles
Associated titanium push rod for steering servo
RPM rod ends (for titanium turnbuckles)
Kimbrough heavy duty servo saver

• Chassis and Attachments:

RCM-RC Garolite chassis
STRC aluminum caster steering blocks
Traxxas front aluminum steering/ball bearing carriers
Traxxas (for 4-Tec) rear aluminum ball bearing carriers with 1.5 degrees of toe in each
HPI Nitro Rush front suspension arms (for wide stance equal to rear width)
RPM rear suspension arms
Traxxas front tie bar
Traxxas suspension pins (e-clip style) all around
STRC aluminum steering bell crank
Traxxas front bumper (I don’t like the RPM one)
Custom made battery tray
Hex hardware all around
Blue aluminum locking nuts used on various bolts/screws to replace the ugly silver ones

• Tire/Wheel combo:

Proline Masher 2000’s
HPI Black Chrome Scorch 6 spoke wheels (front offset all around)
Blue aluminum locking wheel nuts
I have also balanced the tires/wheels with clay

• Body:

Jconcepts Losi xxx-t CR body with WWII custom paint job by me

That's most of it... Looks great if you ask me! Nice job Rusty!

Nice job dude! That's pretty much what mine looked like when I first got to this forum. RPM arms, RCM-RC G-10 chassis, Masher 2K's and the HV-Maxx 4400 on 4s.

I am faster than Buzz Lightyear.

Thanks! I sure wish I had somebody to drive with. Nearest track in about an hour away, and as far as I know, there is nobody close to me.

(there are a few on here in NC. but they are at least an hour drive away)

Thanks! I knew you were in NC but still a good distance away....

BTW, you probably dont know this. I actually bought my rustler from you 2-3 years ago off of ebay when I first got into the hobby. Now there isn't anything left on it from when I first got it, but thought you might find that interesting.
