Rest of the car, gearing etc. exactly the same as with the Monster2 setup?

Really weird, looks like it can actually _less_ current then?

Never had a single temp shutdown with my three XO-1 Mamba Monsters which were used in different cars.

I get mine hooked up 2night. I will know if this is really an issue. I am still assuming the MMX is good to go.

I might be wrong, but I thought the X01 Mamba Monsters where the V1 versions, not the MMX?

The xo1 escs are the the last edition of the MMM plus a cap bank. Right before the mm2 came out. We'll before the MMx.

I am going to stress it. 4s in a 12 pound Truggy geared for 50. Lol. Will also mount 40 series mashers.

That's interesting. On my MMX it seems like the fan comes on more often but I've never had a shut down though. Do they still come on at 150? Maybe it's running warmer because of all the data logging? The fan on my MME (from the XO1) seems like it never comes on.

Okay, I have done my testing. I am so thrilled with this esc. I quote the above not to be argumentative. Only to provide more than information for people considering the MMX. Especially those who might see the above and become worried about heat management and thermal shutdowns.

The first thing I wanted to know where the dimensions.* The footprint is almost identical which is great. I am not sure about height. That wouldn't matter to most people. It has four caps. The old one had 3. The fan is easily serviceable. The case feels more solid. The motor and power wires face exactly as the old mmm does which is perfect for my setups. I love the red X on top. Those sorts of aesthetics are important to me. I shortened all the wires to match my setup except of course the sensor and fan wires.

I ran the castle link software through the esc pleasantly finding new features. Last time I got on castle link I had not seen the feature to limit the torque that new dynamic way. I had since heard about it but never seen it until a few days ago. I think its awesome! I left it alone for now though.

I think I left everything else pretty much default. I did change brake power to 50%.

I have not figured out the aux function controls. The .9ms and 2ms explanation makes no sense to me.* I may have the numbers wrong but that part of the manual doesn't seem in sync with the rest of the user friendliness of the rest of the manual.

This is my gear ratio, voltage, kv, weight, and ambient temps: The vehicle is an 11lb truggy. South Alabama has had some crazy weather. I ran the truck the day after Christmas on Saturday. The ambient temp at the time was 75f. I was running in tall grass about 3 inches. Full throttle back and forth. The throttle would be all the way down for about 25 seconds. I would slow down only to turn around. The hottest I got the esc to read out was 123f. The fan never came on. The motor got to 136f.

I know my very latest MMM from 2014 or 13 could not have performed that way. 58.7mph!!! ..

Hey kcaz you running single batt pack or 2. Thinking 4s but got me a set of UE diffs I set up perfect with Kyosho new helical gears with so now I think it can hand 6s no problem. Found a Kyosho dogbone that fits perfect in the hardcore titanium chassis with the new emaxx trans and special eBay adapter. The battery trays will fit perfect on the chassis also. Just need to drill that titanium. I know it's a bitch to cut for sure but never tried drilling it. Maybe I'll just epoxy those trays on.

Did your MMX reduce power like the XLX is doing? Or did it just shut down temporarily.
