aluminium to plastic impact breakage - 03.21.2010, 12:56 AM

Hi, guys if I put a small metal flat washer between the plastic part and the aluminium chassis do in some sort it will protect the plastic part ( ie bulkhead , plastic gearbox casing ) to break due of a crash ? since the aluminium will transfer the energy to the plastic and the plastic will absord this impact energy and prone to break easily ..

How does a metal washer help? I guess I'm not following here?

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
