Cool Basic Rock Crawler 101 - 09.17.2008, 03:13 AM

Here is basic information for you to review prior to starting your rock crawler build that I wish was available for me before I started mine. Not that I would have done anything differently this is just all of my research in one easy to view layout.. Hope it works for you!.

There are (4) different type’s of classes
1. Super Class (anything that has a 16” wheel base or larger) these builds use 40s tires (large) they are anywhere from 22’-38’ long
2. 2.2 Class (most popular) they have a wheelbase of 12.5” Tons of options within this class
3. 1.9 class (usally scale riggs) jeeps, trucks, small 12scale builds using 1.9” tires.
4. Racing class (yes Rock Crawlers have races) this is NEW only about 3months old and has picked up quite a fan base. Me NO… not for me, but Metal Man would love it..
