Going to join this necro-post.
Not sure if anyone remembers me, I was mostly a lurker.
Wanted to say that I'm graduated undergrad and will be going back for grad school. Studied engineering, ended up with a degree in business.
A lot of the banter that happened here taught me _so_ much information about circuits, electronics; loved it.
Read about Harold's passing and that hit hard; he was such a big part of this forum way back when.
I decided to come by and check on everyone.
I not sure last check in but dang it has been a bit.
I still got lots of RC stuff myself.
On a side note
Merry Christmas all!
Peace!

Hope all is well with everyone else!

Dude, you got old. I can remember when you had your rc learners permit, and could not run without a licensed rc-er. The old days. Good times. Congrats on graduating, never managed to do that myself. Went for mech engineering and ended up fixing crashed cars for a living....
Hello friends!
It's been sometime, I am looking to get back into RC (2nd attempt, as per my son's request now :) )
I am totally lost with all new toys, where we are with brushless power nowadays? I am thinking about getting a 1/10 E-Revo/E-Maxx any good advice or should I get conversion kit rightaway?
Looks like ESC/Motors are not as pricey as they used to be, just recalling Lehner/Plettenbergs...
Castle Neu 1520 on 6S LiPo Powered Gmaxx (Nitro Killer)
Predator with OS .21TM
Supermaxx with Mach .26
Revo with OS .18TZ
Kyosho ST-RR Conversion
Ofna CR with Tekin ESC/Motor (2)
So cool for you to have a track nearby. Honestly the absolute lack of tracks locally made it hard for me to maintain interest. The only times I ever drove on tracks was when I traveled to other countries.
Have fun man, all the best!
