Just seen this on facebook- very unexpected news.

I know some people have a less than stellar opinion of him/his business practices, but there is no doubt he did a lot for the hobby with his custom designs. Very sad news indeed.

Dan was a good guy, I always enjoyed eyeballing his creations, even if they were sometimes not to my taste.

The industry is worse off in his absence...
